Mufflers.-Consists in a combination of a bonnet with a neck muffler, the ends of which, shaped as lapels, form a protector for the chest. The bonnet may be made out of a tubular piece of material closed at the back; and provided or not with a fold 4 at the front. The collar is preferably formed with an upward extension 10, which fits in a slit 7 in the bonnet, and is provided with lapels, which may be fastened by such means as a spring button 11. The bonnet and muffler may be knitted separately and then united; or the loops in the edges of the slit 7 may be run on 'to the needles of another knitting-machine, and the muffler knitted thereto.
