Closures for Hose Pipe Connections

Road service boxes.-Relates to closures for wall or floor service boxes for water, gas, or electricity, and comprises a door and frame having opposing recesses in their edges to allow the passage of a hose or other conductor, means being provided for closing the recesses when the conductor is removed. The door 5, which is hinged to the frame 2 at one end by a rod 7 passing through lugs 6, 3 on the door and frame respectively, is provided at the other end with a semicircular recess 8 disposed opposite to a similar recess 8 in the frame. The hose &c. 9 passes through the circular hole so formed when the door is closed. When the hose &c. is removed, the hole is closed by a disk 10 mounted on the end of a spring arm 11 pivoted at 12 to the door 5.
