Zusammenfassung: | 21,992. Liman, O., and Lundstedt, J. Sept. 27. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Guide-pulleys for railway-signal wires &c. are adjustably mounted in holders so that they can be adjusted to the directions of pull on the wire. Fig. 1 is an elevation partly in section, and Fig. 3 is a plan view, of the apparatus. A bracket b is bolted to a post a, and carries a holder c. A spherical head f on the spindle d of each guide-pulley r fits in a spherical recess formed partly in one portion g and partly in another portion h of the holder, and these portions are clamped together to fix the pulleys in position by means of a bolt i. A further adjustment is obtained by forming the holder c in two portions provided with teeth t. The bolt i is loosened, and one toothed portion is moved relatively to the other until other teeth mesh and the bolt i is then tightened. The pulleys are mounted on balls p seated on a sleeve s, which is fitted with a screwed tightening- ring q. A nut o clamps the parts together and allows a guard n to be turned to any position on the spindle d. In the case of a single pulley or several pulleys on one spindle the spherical head on the spindle is mounted in a lateral socket in an undivided holder, and is secured therein by a set-screw. |
