Zusammenfassung: | 20,943. Baecker, F. Oct. 1, 1908, [Convention date]. Rotary filters or strainers.-A drum a for draining small coal or other materials is divided into broad and narrow compartments c, d by means of perforated ring-shaped partitions b. The coal is delivered to the first compartment c by a shoot f and is lifted by troughs g, which have upper perforated and lower unperforated floors. The water drains directly through the drum surface or through the perforated floor of each trough, and thence through the partition b and out through the adjacent compartment d. A shoot n jogged by a cam p delivers the coal from the troughs g into the adjacent compartment c for repeated treatment. The drum a is cleaned by brushes s, and hammers r agitate the troughs g. |
