Zusammenfassung: | 6669. Katzenstein, M., and Venator, J. March 19. Overhead travellers and transporters.-A travelling hoist for use in slaughterhouses is provided with means for stretching or separating the parts of the suspended load, and for allowing the parts to fall together. The hoist carries two drums c, d driven by worm gear from a hand chain-wheel l. The ends of the ropes n, o passing round the drums c, dare fastened to arms q carrying load hooks. Interposed between the arms q is a lazy-tongs linkage which is normally kept extended by a sickle-shaped lever v. When the load is fully hoisted the lever v is withdrawn from beneath the linkage to allow it to collapse by its engagement with a stop w. The hoist travels on a single or double-railed elevated track. |
