Improved Device for Drawing and Suspending Curtains

Curtains, drawing and suspending.-Double curtains, of the kind carried by an endless cord passing over upper pulleys and continued down the side of the window &c. to a lower pulley, are suspended by hooks n or the like on a double cord f ,f passing round an horizontal pulley g at one side of the window and over two vertical pulleys h at the other side of the window to a pulley b adjustable by a thumb-screw d in a block e. The innermost hooks are secured to the cords, and the outermost ones to the pulley-blocks, the others running freely on the cords. An additional cord or bar o, Fig. 5, for embroideries may be supported from the top pulley blocks by means of arms p.
