Stereoscopes. - Stereoscopic negatives carrying laterally-reversed pictures of different size, as in Fig. 3, are made usable without cutting-up by utilizing an apparatus in which two mirrors x, y, Fig. 8, are so placed that the negative n is seen by reflection on looking through the eyepieces e, f. The pictures c, d, Fig. 14, which are taken in a stereoscopic camera having lenses of different length, may be projected into pictures of equal size on a plate z by means of suitable lenses a, b. Mirrors may be placed between the pictures and the lenses in these rectifiers to give a more suitable disposition with the pictures in the same plane &c. |
