10,141. Horsburgh, J. May 11. No Patent granted (Sealingfee not paid). Fuel-economizers.-The bars of a false bottom grate are made capable of being rocked to free it from ashes. Fig. 3 shows an inverted plan of the apparatus. The bars C are carried loosely in a frame A supported by legs B upon the grate bottom, and have squared ends projecting through the frame which are turned by a key. They have also slotted downwardly-projecting lugs E each of which engages a different one of a number of pins F on a bar D supported by horizontally projecting lugs G, H on the frame A. The grate bars are thus all rocked by rocking any one. A retaining- bar J is detachably secured to the frame A at the rear so that the grate bars may be withdrawn when necessary.
