Zusammenfassung: | 8038. Tucker, C. G. April 10. Moulding biscuits.-Mechanism is provided for imparting to the cutters of biscuit machines a longitudinal as well as a vertical movement, so that the cutters, when on the point of leaving the dough, are travelling longitudinally at the same velocity as the dough stream, in order to prevent deformation of the cut portions. The dough is rolled out into a sheet, and by means of a moving endless band is carried beneath cutters 33 mounted in reciprocating heads 29 sliding in guides 31, which are reciprocated longitudinally on rollers 32. The cutter heads 29 are operated from a shaft 7 by means of an eccentric 25 and connecting-rods 27, 28. An eccentric disk 26, also mounted on the shaft 7, operates the guides 31 by means of a link 39 and bell-crank lever 40, the link 39 being secured to a crank-pin 37 which is adjustable in a slot 38 in the disk 26. The eccentrics 25, 26 are relatively adjustable by means of a bolt 47, screwing into the eccentric 25 and passing through a slot 46 in the disk 26. |
