Zusammenfassung: | 14,009. Hill, N. June 18. Loom stopmotions.-In a Hollingworth and Knowles or other loom having rising and falling shuttle boxes operated by a vertical rod d , Fig. 3, which is automatically disconnected from the box-operating mechanism if the shuttle boxes become jammed, apparatus is provided for stopping the loom immediately the rod d' is disconnected. When the projection e' of the spring e is automatically disengaged from the recess d in the rod d , the spring e is deflected and causes a finger l to press back a projection k and turn the pivoted vertical rod i. A lever o carried by the lay is then turned about the centre o by a pivoted rod m adjustably connected to the piece k by collars n. An adjustable stud secured to the lever o causes the loom to stop by moving an arm c' secured to the boss of the knock-off handle c. The end of the finger l, which may carry an antifriction pulley, runs in a vertical groove k in the piece k. The stop-motion may be used in connexion with other means for facilitating the automatic disconnexion of the rod d . |
