Zusammenfassung:3199. Himalaya, M. A. G. Feb. 8. Explosives. - An explosive is formed of potassium chlorate, anthracite, and an ' oil,' with or without starch. The ' oil' may be any vegetable, animal, or mineral oil ; or any hydrocarbon, such as petroleum or its distillates or residues ; or any two or more of such bodies. Part of the chlorate may be replaced by a stimulating ingredient such as manganese dioxide. The ingredients are mixed without the aid of artificial heat or water. A similar explosive is described in Specification No. 4439, A.D. 1907.
