The bell b is carried by a spindle c having a screwed formed upper e which passes through a fixed nut h on the top of the hopper, so that on raising or lowering the bell, by means of a lever d, it is also rotated. Alternatively, a rack and pinion, bevel-wheel, or other gearing, may be used to rotate the bell. |
