Zusammenfassung:27,634. Aivaz, J., and Kowtunoff, T. Poljakoff-. Dec. 4. Cutting, punching, and perforating machines.- In a spacing - apparatus for punching-presses, the pinion A which drives the work-table is driven intermittenly from the wheel R on the main shaft of the machine through two sets of gearing, which give respectively initial and fractional movements to the pinion. The wheel R drives a wheel R , which drives a shaft a through a clutch. Links e, e' are adjustably connected to cranks c, c on this shaft, and are also adjustably connected to rocking arms f, f carrying pawls t, t . The pawl t drives a wheel L which is loose on a shaft n, and has connected to it planet-wheels H engaging a pinion k keyed to the shaft n and an annular wheel g. The pinion A is driven by gearing from the shaft n. The pawl t drives a wheel D from which, by means of gearing E, F, M and a worm, the worm-wheel on the annular gear g is driven, so that a differential motion is given to the shaft n. The sizes of wheels are enumerated in the Specification to give movements of the table of 1 mm. for one tooth of the wheel L and /100mm. for one tooth of the wheel D. The cranks c, c' are provided with scales to vary the amount of feed. In a modification, Fig. 4, for smaller movements, a bevel-wheel B is carried on the shaft n and drives a nut A engaging a worm p' connected to the table. The feed takes place at the upward motion of the press, and to reverse the direction of feed the pawls are reversed, the clutch being put out, and the wheel R being given a half-revolution.
