Zusammenfassung: | 25,388. Hirsch, F. Dec. 8, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Vapour burners.-In cleaning-arrangements for vapour burners, in which a needle is brought immediately in front of the burner and then inserted, the parts 1, 2, 3 carrying the needle are arranged to slide in a straight line towards the centre line of the burner. The arm 1 carrying the needle is fixed to a bar 2 sliding in a cylindrical carrier 3 and pressed upwards by a spring 4. The carrier has a foot-plate 5 which slides in guides 6. A spring 7 tends to press the carrier away from the burner. In cleaning the burner, the carrier is first moved forward to bring the needle in front of the burner, and the bar 2 is then depressed, thus inserting the needle into the burner. The required movements may be produced by the arrangements shown in Figs. 4 and 5 ; in the former, the bar 2 is provided with a stud 8 guided in a bent channel 9 and operated by a cord ; in the latter, the stud 8 is guided by a bent track 9 and operated by a slotted lever 11 and cord. |
