Tin chloride.-In a process for detinning tinned scrap by the use of chlorine, alone or with inert gases, applicable for use with the apparatus described in Specifications Nos. 12,868 and 12,869, A.D. 1905, the temperature in the apparatus is kept uniform, and is also reduced, by the energetic whirling and circulation of the gases. The tin chloride produced may be drawn off at the bottom of the apparatus. |
