Incandescent gas burners. -A burner for consuming gas at high pressure, especially such as is used for burning-off mantles, is formed by a thickwalled Bunsen tube f, which is closed at its upper end by a screw g and is provided with a sleeve k. The gaseous mixture passes through lateral openings l to the annulus between the parts f, k, whence it escapes through a nickelwire gauze i clamped between the screw g and a nut h.
