Zusammenfassung: | 7578. Squire, G. E. April 12, 1904, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Conductors.-Relates to brackets for supporting overhead electric conductors. When applied to a wooden pole, a plate 8 is formed with projecting ears 9 to which the bracket arm, preferably of T-iron, is hinged, and with lugs 13, through which hooks 14 are passed. The hooks 14 extend partly round-the pole, and have sharp points which are driven into the pole. A brace rod 16 is bolted at one end to the web 12 of the bracket arm, the'inner end of the rod being formed with a point 19 which is driven into the pole through a collar 18 and a hole in a plate 20 which is secured to the pole in the same manner as the plate 8. A wire hanger 22 and guy wire 23 are provided. When used with a metal pole, eyebolts are screwed into the pole to receive the hooks 14, 21, and an additional hook engages with the plate 20 and an eye-bolt screwed into the pole below the plate. |
