Zusammenfassung: | 7151. Walker, H. S., and Horsburgh, D. April 5. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Piston pumps.- The piston of a pump for liquids and gases is given a combined rotary and d reciprocating movement, whereby ports or recesses in the piston are alternately opened to inlet and delivery ports in the cylinder walls. In the form shown, the piston A is rotated by means of a rope pulley, and reciprocated by a cam B arranged within an oil chamber J. Sector-shaped ports D, E in the piston are alternately opened to the suction and delivery ports F, G, respectively, the cylinder thus being double-acting. The cylinder may, however, be single-acting, or may be provided with two or more inlet and delivery pipes for multiple effect.
