Zusammenfassung: | 7024. Aumund, H. April 3. Tipping apparatus. In an apparatus for tipping railway wagons, the wagons are drawn on to an ascending track over points or tongues resting upon the rails of the permanent way. The curved track a forms a portion of a frame b running on the track rails and containing suitable hoisting- gear. The lower portion of the track a is provided with tongues a resting on the rails d. In the form shown in Fig. 1, an additional track e is arranged below the track a for a travelling truck f upon which the front wheels of the wagon run. In operation, the wagon is drawn by the chain h until its front wheels rest upon the truck f, when traction is exerted upon the draw-chain g. This causes arms f to be thrown up to engage the front axle, and the wagon is drawn up and discharged on the end gate being opened. The truck f may be dispensed with. In modified forms, the empty truck continues its travel in its original direction. |
