Stereotype. - A stereotyper's casting-box is provided with the ordinary bridge a carrying the screw D, and a lower detachable bridge E formed with feet, so that an even impression is obtained when taking matrices. Pivoted metal rods or bars B, C, retained by latches or other fastenings, are provided on the front edge of the bottomplate and the lid, to hold the ends of the matrix and backing-sheet out of the way of the ladle.
