Zusammenfassung: | 20,506. Walford, E W. Sept. 23. Gas or explosive-vapour engines, carburetting in. The float chamber B has an inlet chamber A with pipes for oils of different densities, a removable receptacle D for impurities, and a gauze strainer E. The float-valve levers H are pivoted to the cover J, which may be screwed up or down according to a scale J to suit oils of different densities. The float may be graduated to serve as a hydrometer. Spraying-nozzles M, with different-sized perforations to suit different kinds of oil, are inserted through a hole covered by a cap L by means of the box spanner N' which is combined with a screwdriver N for removing the strainer E. The mixing-chamber L is preferably rectangular ; it has a hinged baffle O which is adjusted as the speed varies to regulate the carburetting. The chamber may be jacketed to prevent freezing. |
