Zusammenfassung:13,375. Flaherty, J. F., and Fagen, H. J. June 13. Bottle holders; carboys.-Relates to a device for tilting carboys and similar large vessels, for the purpose of pouring out the contents, which device can be applied or removed without handling the carboy in any way. Rockers 1, provided with spurs 4 adapted to enter the wooden casing of the carboy, are connected to bars or straps 5 resting on the top of the casing, and terminating in a slotted post 6 formed with an enlarged head 7 to serve as an handle. Pivoted in the post 6 is a spirally-slotted cam 8 adapted to be operated by a hand-lever 9, and so shaped that it locks itself in any position. A curved lever 10, terminating at its lower end in a spur 12, is pivoted by a bolt 11 in the post 6, and is provided with a forked projection 13, in which is mounted a pin 14 which engages the slot of the cam. In operation, the device is placed in position on a carboy casing, and the cam rotated by the hand-lever so as to draw the post 6 and its attached parts, and the lever 10, nearer to one another in order to force the spurs into the wood. The carboy is then tilted over on the rockers by the handle 7.
