Zusammenfassung: | 5861. Dorman, C. M., and Smith, R. A. March 10. Conduits; insulating-compositions; junction and test boxes.-The insides of the covers or containers of electric apparatus such as connectors, conductors, and the like are insulated and protected from firing by a coating of finely or coarsely powdered glass or other non-conducting incombustible material. This is applied either mixed with ordinary or fish glue, gelatine, or a combination of these, or by dusting or pressing it on to a previously-applied coating of glue, varnish, or the like, which can be dried by heat or exposure to the air. The glue or gelatine may be bicbromatized, and the coating may be protected from damp by a coat of paint or varnish preferably containing powdered asbestos or the like to make it non-inflamable. |
