Flexible tubing.-Relates to flexible tubing, composed of layers of paper, woven fabric, and impervious composition, laid on a spiral of wire, for conveying gas or for covering electric cables, and consists in arranging the layers to prevent the gas from injuring the in-pervious substance. The metal spiral wire A is covered with oiled paper B, which is bound by longitudinal and spiral threads C, or any suitable woven or braided covering, the whole being enclosed by a covering D of non-metallic substance impervious to gas, as shown in Fig. 3. An ornamental covering may be added.
