13,681. Cooper, C. T. June 19. Guards, m u d .-M u d guards for cycles, motor cycles, and the like are fitted with wide extension pieces. These are formed by cutting from the flat material a blunt V-shaped piece with suitably-curved sides B , Fig. 2. A strip A, sewn or otherwise attached thereto along the curved edges, gives the proper shape, and the whole is fastened to the end of the guard. When it is required only to widen the guard, two side pieces with curved edges are sewn to the parallel edges of a strip of equal length.
