Zusammenfassung: | 12,507. Hagen, A. T., and Cooper, D. M. June 2. Conveyers.-Relates to conveyer apparatus especially applicable for use in drying collars, cuffs, and other wearing-apparel. The conveyer com. prises a chain 5 supported at intervals by rollers 4 running in an endless guide-way tube 2. The major portion of this tube is bent backwards and forwards so as to follow a circuitous course within the heating-chamber, and the remainder, a part of which is shown, is outside the chamber. Depending from the chain are rods 22, in which are fixed pins 23 in the plane of the chain and inclined slightly upwards. The articles to be dried are placed on these pins by hand, and are automatically removed by arms 24 pivoted at 25 and actuated by engagement of their tails 26 with a projection 27, below which a receptacle for the articles is placed. The conveyer is driven through a clutch, which can be automatically opened in predetermined positions of the conveyer, by the engagement of a pin 30 placed in one of the hollow pivots 25, with a weighted lever 20 connected by a cord to the clutch lever. |
