Fig. 1 shows a plan view, the hubs being in section, and Fig. 2 a sectional view along the line b-b of Fig. 1. The flukes 5 are carried by hubs 7, provided with the usual fins 8. Each fluke is cast separate, and is kept on the spindle 6 by the collar 18, which, however, permits free oscillatory movements. These movements are limited by the action of the rib 27 and the cavity 25, the rib being carried by the spindle 6. The head of the shank has a larger diameter than the hubs, and is rounded off as shown. In order to have an anchor of this character, the flukes of which work together, the extensions and interlocking-fingers 30 and 31 are formed as shown in Fig. 3. |
