Zusammenfassung: | 16,365. Ashworth, E. July 23. File cleaning brushes; bristles, fixing.- Card clothing is secured to blocks of wood to form file cleaners &c. by means of clips a, Fig. 4, similar to the clips described in Specification No. 2011, A.D. 1888, [Abridgment Class Spinning], for securing card clothing to the revolving flat bars of carding-engines. The lower limb a' of a clip is held in a groove c, Fig. 6, or below a ledge on a wooden block b, by means of a sliding block f, of an apparatus similar to that described in Specification No. 7425, A.D. 1888, [Abridgment Class Spinning], and the upper edge of the clip is bent over by means of a hand tool h. The block is then reversed in the apparatus, an angle-piece k is turned down so that its teeth engage the loose end of the clothing d, which is stretched on a wheel n being turned, and then secured by means of another clip a. Side clips may be used in addition to the end clips. |
