Zusammenfassung: | 150. Harrison, I. Jan. 2. Affixing labels.-In the top and bottom of a reversible stand 1, having legs 2, are perforations to receive wells 3, 8 having lips 5, 9 corresponding to the contour of the bottle, tin, box, or similar article to be labelled. The well 3 contains a block 6 supported on a bar 7 let into the bottom, and on the block is placed a pad 4 soaked in mucilage. The well 8 encloses a block 10 supported on a rod 11, and surrounding the rod is a spring 12 which supports the well. The block 10 carries a pad 14 and the labels 13 to be affixed. To affix a label, the bottle &c. is pressed on the pad 4, and then on the top label in the well 8, a gauge 16 serving to regulate the position of the bottle &c. In a modification, an arrangement is provided for supplying the mucilage-pad with the mucilage, and the device may be mounted on a bench, instead of on a portable stand, as shown. |
