Zusammenfassung: | 10,029. Topham, C. F. May 14. Yarns and threads.-Relates to means for regulating the flow of solutions of cellulose through squirting-nozzles in the manufacture of threads or filaments. The spindle of the double valve 2, 3 carries a hollow float or body B, which is weighted with mercury &c. and may be provided with wings or with helical corrugations or grooves, so that, as the fluid flows in the direction of the arrows, its pressure will tend to lift the body B and close the valve and also to rotate the valve and spindle and so prevent the parts from becoming clogged with the flowing substance. |
