Zusammenfassung: | 4716. Le Duc, P. L. March 5. Window blinds, venetian. Instead of ladder tapes, zig-zag wires or springs E with ey(s at each angle are used. Each spring is fixed, as shown at P, to the top and bottom laths, the eyes being screwed or driven into the edges of the laths. The intermediate laths rest on metal strips G, the ends of which I, H are placed through the eyes on the springs, and then closed down on to the tops of the laths as shown at L. The top lath has pivots engaging slots in brackets d, and is suspended by tapes passing over rollers in the top board a as usual. The strength of the springs is sufficient to close up all the laths at the top of the window, but the usual cords K may be fitted and used to ensure the laths being completely raised. The blind may be pulled down by a cord o, the springs causing the laths to open out with equal spaces between them. |
