Zusammenfassung: | 7541. Wigham, J. R. April 24. Lighthouse lamps.-A homogeneous light, of sufficient diameter for transmission through annular lenses or other lenticular apparatus, is obtained by placing a gas, oil, or other incandescent burner in the focus of the lenticular apparatus, and surrounding this central burner by a ring or number of rings containing similar incandescent burners placed close together, the rings being separated from each other by continuous annular air spaces. The illuminant may be supplied at either normal or abnormal pressure, and, in the case of gas, the engine for rotating the lenticular apparatus may be utilized for actuating a compressor and receiver by which all gas supplied to the burners is delivered at the necessary pressure. |
