Alarms, burglar and like; signals, automatic-alarms.- Relates to an electric contact maker, applicable for auto- .matic signalling in connection with targets, for indicating the opening of doors, carriage gates, &c., and for other similar purposes. Fig. 7 shows the arrangement of the contact for indicating the opening of a door. The screw h is pivotally mounted in the bracket fixed to the door casing, and has an arm u, which is held by the spring z in contact with the door. When the door is opened, the screw is rotated, and moves the nut i longitudinally, so that contact is made between the plates o, k, in a bell circuit. The bracket may be fixed to the door, and the arm u bear against the casing &c.
