14,702. Hermes, R., and Z e y e n, C. July 17. Saddle springs ; saddles.-The saddle is fitted with one or more cylindrical rubber compression springs p, mounted on guide-pins or tubes. In the arrangement shown, four springs are placed at the rear of the saddle, and are mounted on a cross-plate S. The springs may be used in conjunction with metal springs of the usual construction. In the case of a lady's saddle, a single rubber spring may be placed under the peak.
