Zusammenfassung: | 4902. Gentzsch, A. March 6. Resins and resinous compounds.-Relates to means for raising the melting-points of resins and similar materials. The resin &c. is melted and heated to a temperature of 100‹ to 200‹ C., and water is allowed to fall drop by drop from a suitable height into the hot mass until the liquid becomes sufficiently viscous, when the supply of water is stopped and the mass is heated to remove all aqueous particles. The duration of the operation is shortened if water containing an excess of the substances, such as carbonate of calcium &c., usually found in water is used. |
