Zusammenfassung: | 6561. Statham, F. T. March 18. Washing machines.- Relates to the construction of rotary washing- machines, and to their arrangement in laundries to economize water. The Figures show crosssections of the rotating cylinders. The clothes are placed in the perforated receptacle A, Fig. 1, which is shaped as shown to provide rubbing- projections, and recesses to carry partly round the clothes and the washing- l i q u i d. In the form shown in Fig. 3, buckets B are provided. Modifications are described similar to the above. In laundries &c. the machines are placed at different heights, so that the suds from the first one can be run into each of the others in turn. An arrangement of tanks and mains for holding and transporting the washing- liquids is also described. |
