Fig. 1 shows one arrangement, in which the vent is closed by a layer B of wire gauze or other porous fabric. Fig. 4 shows a modified device, in which a channel or chamber in the base is filled with incombustible material such as asbestos, or a bundle of wires, or the like. A porous fabric may also be arranged at B. The fuse case may be partially constructed of gauze after the manner of a Davy lamp. |
