Hoods.-Relates to foldable hood fittings of the class described in Specifications 26744/13, 148,014, and 149,028, and consists of a simple construction suitable for closed-in automobiles. A bracket B is connected to the back pillar A at each side, to which bracket is hinged a bent rod C fixed to the back half cant-rail I. A link E connects the top of the bracket with a straight rod D pivoted at one end to the end of the rod C and at the other to a. rod F carrying the front half cant-rail H. Both cant-rails are hinged to a centre pillar J, or if pivoted together the bent rod C is extended backwards' and pivoted to a rod also pivoted to the body. In the Provisional Specification, it is stated that for cape hoods the members forming the front and back cant-rails are bent upwards at their meeting ends, which are pivoted together.
