Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1300813 Fleece of composite fibres FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 13 March 1970 [15 March 1969] 12124/70 Heading D1R A bonded non-woven fleece or mat consists of or contains synthetic fibres, or mixtures of synthetic and natural fibres, which contains at least 30% by weight of two component fibres having a sheath/core structure, the core component being a polyamide-6 and the sheath component being a copolyamide of amiriocaproic acid and aminoundecanoic acid, the sheath component having a softening range at least 20‹C below that of the core component. The fleece is produced by heating an unbonded fleece at a temperature in the softening range of the sheath component which becomes plastic and acts as a binder while the core is unchanged. The fleece may be formed by a carding machine. The two-component fibres may be mixed with fibres having a crimp. An example is given of them mixed with fibres of carbonised wool. Heating may be effected by calendering at a temperature between 100 and 150‹C. The fleece may be stitched before being autogeneously bonded.
