Zusammenfassung:	1299767 Liquid propylene or butylene polymers NAPHTACHIMIE 24 Sept 1970 [25 Sept 1969] 45592/70 Heading C3P Liquid polymers of propylene and/or one or more butylenes which have molecular weights of 100 to 1000 are obtained by polymerization in a liquid hydrocarbon in which is suspended the preformed, solid product of the reaction between (i) a halogen compound of Ti or V (ii) a halogensubstituted methane or ethane and (iii) an alkyl aluminium compound of formula where n is 0, 1 or 2 and X is Cl, Br or I. In the examples ethylene or 1-butene is polymerized in n-heptane using as the catalyst components (i) TiCl 3 , TiCl 4 , VCl 3 , VCl 4 , or VOCl 3 ; (ii) CCl 4 . CHCl 3 , or 1,2-dichloroethane; (iii) EtAlCl 2 , Et 2 AlCl, Et 3 Al, or (i-Bu) 3 Al.
