Direct gas-pressure apparatus, automatic. - Consists in direct fluid-pressure apparatus for raising liquids in which vapour evaporated from the liquid is used. The liquid to be raised flows from the tank R , through a non-return valve a to the lifting-chamber P and a vaporizer V provided with a steam or hot-water jacket. The vapour generated flows through the pipes s, d and a, refrigerator n to the upper tank R until the liquid level in the chamber Preaches the top of the tube s. The escape of the vapour is then prevented, and when the pressure is sufficient the contents of the chambers P and V are discharged past the valve b to the tank R .
