Zusammenfassung:	1294595 Cyclomonoolefin polymerization catalyst FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER AG 15 April 1970 [15 April 1969] 17943/70 Heading C3P Cyclomonoolefins are polymerized by ring opening in the presence of a catalyst comprising an organometallic compound together with a further metal compound such as a transition metal halide or a Friedel-Crafts compound, in a solvent and in the presence of an aliphatic or aromatic nitrocompound. In examples, catalysts comprise Al(i-C 4 H 9 ) 3 , Al(i-C 4 H 9 ) 2 H, or W (alkyl)4, WCl 6 or TaCl 5 /various nitro compounds, e.g. nitrobenzene, 3,5-dinitrobenzoylchloride, 4 - nitroanisole, chloromethyl - (4 - chloro - 3- nitrophenyl) - sulphone, 1,5 - dinitronaphthalene, and 4,4 - dichloro - 2 - nitrodiphenyl ether.
