Zusammenfassung:1286607 Sprinkler system for warehouses WALTHER & CIE AG 13 April 1971 9206/71 Heading A5A A sprinkler system for a high building, e.g. a warehouse with storage shelves, feeds liquid, extinguishant upwardly by a riser pipe system to a pipe (pipes) which extend downwardly to sprinklers, and the down pipes reduce in cross-section from the top down. In Fig. 1 a warehouse with shelves 3, 4, 5, 6 on steel support structures is fitted with valve station 7, rising pipes 8, supply pipes 9 to ceiling sprinklers 10, and downward branch pipes 11 to shelf sprinklers 12, pipes 11 being of downwardly reducing cross-section so that a constant water delivery rate of about 60 litres/min is maintained at each sprinkler.
