Zusammenfassung:1280255 Glass seal resistor composition GENERAL MOTORS CORP 26 Feb 1970 [3 March 1969] 9262/70 Heading C1M In making a glass seal resistor composition in granular form containing unreacted B 2 O 3 in the glass, the powdered constituents are drymixed; an organic liquid selected from toluene, pentane, trichloroethylene, methanol and ethanol is added in an amount of 5-20% by weight of the resistor powder and mixed so as to coat the powder particles; 10-16% by weight of the resistor powder of water is then added to obtain a mixture which is granulated, the granules being heated to remove the organic liquid and screened. Li 2 CO 3 , e.g. 0À5%, may be added to the resistor powder before the organic liquid. The resistor composition may contain bentonite, zirconia, glass, carbon black, kyanite and sucrose. The glass may be a 25% BaO, 75% B 2 O 3 glass or a magnesium borate glass frit.
