Zusammenfassung: | 1279196 Electrocuting insects HENRY SIMON Ltd 1 June 1971 [4 March 1970] 10283/70 Heading AIM A device for electrocuting insects comprises an ultraviolet light source 13, disposed beneath a convex reflector for attracting insects over an angle of 360‹; and two grids 15, 16 surrounding the source, with a potential difference between them. Wire loops forming each grid are disposed alternately on vertical supporting posts to form a generally cylindrical structure and a guard grid 17 prevents accidental access to them. The ultraviolet source is located within an upwardly directed concave reflector 14 to prevent the light being seen from below. Housing 10 is used to suspend the device from a ceiling and removable tray 11 collects the dead insects. |
