Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:1,272,824. Coated fabrics. FARBENFABRIKEN BAYER A.G. 17 July, 1969 [7 Aug., 1968], No. 36029/69. Heading B2E. [Also in Division Dl] A process for the production of a polyurethane-coated fabric comprises impregnating a fabric having a nap on one surface with an aqueous binder dispersion, calendering the impregnated fabric on a textile calender and coating the nap surface with a polyurethane. The nap fabric may be made from fibres of cotton, staple rayon, filamentary rayon, polyacrylonitrile or nylon and may be produced either directly by warp knitting on a machine provided with plush points or by napping a basic fabric. The binder may be applied by spraying or rolling and may comprise a polyurethane or a copolymer of ethyl acrylate, butyl acrylate, methacrylamide and methacrylamido methylol methyl ether. The polyurethane may be applied directly or by transfer coating and may contain SiO 2 , carbon black, or iron oxide pigment. The products of the invention may be provided with a surface finish, e.g. of cellulose acetobutyrate, an acrylate or a silicone.
