Zusammenfassung: | 1,271,174. Filter press. M. Y. MESHENGISSER, I. S. ERMAKOV, G. M. KOCHKIN, A. V. STANKUN, F. N. SHAKHOV, I. P. VELEDNITSKY and P. P. YAGODIN. 13 May, 1970 [7 July, 1969], No. 23058/70. Heading B1D. A filter press for separating suspensions comprises several plano-concave filter plates 3 arranged vertically side by side between pressure plates 1, 2 with a band of filter cloth 4 passing in zig-zag fashion between adjacent plates and around their respective rollers 5, 6 and 7 so that the cloth is doubled upon itself within each chamber 8 formed by adjacent plates. A suspension is passed into the chambers 8 whilst pressure fluid is forced between each plate flat surface B and a connected elastic watertight diaphragm 9 to compress the solids into a cake whilst the liquid escapes via the filter cloth and the front perforated face A of the plates (which may also be fluted). To remove the cake after drying the plate 2 is withdrawn to its Fig. 5 position whereupon each plate e.g. 3a is likewise moved so that filter cloth length a takes up the prior position of portion b, such movement causing the downward expulsion of the cake. The "other" fresh side of a is now ready for the subsequent separation. Filter cloth regenerat- or 18 is incorporated. The size of the filter cake can be varied by the pressure fluid supplied between the diaphragms 9 and the plates. |
