Zusammenfassung: | 126,859. Ohtani, K. July 12, 1918. Annealing.-A nickel conductor for an electric lamp or the like is heated to a temperature of about 1400‹ C. in a vacuum or inert gas such as nitrogen, and is then cooled before inserting into a heated glass rod. The wire may be heated by passage of current for not less than 10 minutes, but preferably for 30-40 minutes. After this treatment, the metal is no longer liable to attack by molten glass. |
