[Also in Divisions G2-G3] A take-up reel for film or other strip material may selectively receive two or more films of predetermined different widths and comprises a hub 22 and flanges 23, 24 spaced to receive the widest film, and one or more resilient guide members 38a, 38b extending tangentially from the hub whose edges engage and retain the narrower films thereby holding such films against the lower flange 23. Resilient snubber arms 36a, 36b with friction pads 37a, 37b also extend from the hub and engage a film end entering the reel through opening 33 in a cylindrical guide 27 surrounding the reel, the film being wound on to the hub as the reel rotates. The guides 38a, 38b and snubbers are made in bifurcated form, and one or more are wrapped round hub 22 as the film is wound, depending on the width of film.
