Zusammenfassung: | 1,259,899. Cattle crush. P. H. A. MILES. 20 Oct., 1969 [21 Oct., 1968], No. 51395/69. Heading A5R. In a cattle crush of the type having one wall 1 fixed relative to the floor 2 of the crush and another movable wall, the movable wall comprises an assembly of adjacent slats 9 hinged to bars 4 at their lower ends, as indicated at 10, and being connected to each other by one or more flexible strips 11. The slat assembly comprises two sections with two bars 4 being hinged about vertical axes 5 to swing outwardly. The ends of the bars 4 are connected to posts 8, the top ends of which are attached to bars 6. These bars 6 are hinged to a frame 7 which extends centrally over the top of the crush from the fixed wall. Gates 14 and (13) may be detachably mounted at each end of the crush on the fixed wall 1 by hinges 12 and by guides 18. Posts 8 have mountings 16 in which lever mechanisms may be detachably connected between the fixed wall and the posts to pull the posts towards the fixed wall. A pair of upwardly diverging bars 20, 21, located internally of and adjacent to the slat assembly, are pivoted to the floor to hold an animal in the crush. Bar 20 may pass between two adjacent slats and between two strips 11 to cause it to move with a slat assembly. |
